World War One Poems

Trenches filled with rats eat the dead,

Sound of guns taking life,

If you come face to face with a bomb

Run as fast as you can,

If it catches you, you will be no more.

I do declare this is a mighty war!

Rats around, can’t stand on the ground,

Dead bodies around

Every one has a frown on there face,

there is no trace of a bullet Sound

they are all on the ground

Never join the war.

Trenches are dirty, cold and wet

Rats everywhere, stealing food,

Rattling cans and eating the dead!!!!!

Trenches foot agony pain filled faces

Shell shock terror.

But I’m still ALIVE!
