Friday October 10th 9:30 – 15:30
Join with Paula Lightfoot, experienced marine ecologist, with the Yorkshire Naturalists Union for a day developing identification skills using the rocky shore at Skinningrove and indoors at the Cleveland Ironstone Mining Museum. No previous knowledge required.
Please bring outdoor clothes, wellington boots and a packed lunch. Hot drinks will be available for purchase.
We meet at 9.30 am at the Museum for a short briefing before walking down to the shore. The morning will be spent on the shore returning for lunch at the Museum. The afternoon will be spent indoors looking more closely at identification features of seaweeds and other materials collected during the morning. Attendees will also be shown how to press seaweeds.
Although there is no formal charge for the day donations would be most welcome.
Please book places with Jean Banwell on 01287 642 877 or email firstname.lastname@example.org .
This is a full day workshop in association with the Yorkshire Naturalists Union.
