Taken 1954 to 55 in the hall just outside the door of the head mistress’s class who was then Miss Thompson. Possibly Lena if my memory serves me right. All are named with certainty other than Roe’s girl, not sure of her first name. Carol or Judith. Other teachers at that time were Miss Garner, Mrs Potter, Miss Twaddle? Mrs Keen.

Although even the date on this photograph is questionable, as it possibly dates from the 1930s, the two teachers can be identified as : Back Row – Miss Ethel Adamson later to be Mrs Bassindale and Miss Pat Stanlake later to be Mrs Fletcher. But the names of the pupils remains a mystery, can anybody help?
Derick Pearson tells us: ”First Pupil on the left middle row with the triangle was Charlie Hellings junior. Also 4th from left back row was said to be Wally (Taxi) Goldby.”
