These pages and posts are an archive of photographs from times gone by.  Some of the images are self-evident, but others present an enigma – either because they are untitled or because they contain people, places or things that haven’t been identified.
We attempt to indicate correctly the source of all images offered for display on the site, we regret that some images offered to date are copies from a CD produced by Derick Pearson in 1983. We are endeavouring to rectify this problem and apologise to Derick for any discomfort this oversight could have caused.
We still welcome any images offered, but reserve the right to amend the commentaries to any images as necessary.
We would appreciate help with identification of, or stories relating to, any of the images stored here.
If you have any old photographs of East Cleveland (UK) we would appreciate permission to copy them for inclusion in this site.  Just pop into Loftus Library and we’ll take it from there – returning your photographs after we’ve scanned them.
We have made every effort to identify the copyright holders of the images stored in this archive and believe them to be in the public domain, or copyright-acknowledged as appropriate.
